Wayne County GOP Convention

The Wayne County GOP Convention will be held on:

Saturday, March 4, 2017
 
Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
 
Location: Wayne County Center
208 W Chestnut St
Goldsboro, NC 28533

Registration is free and will start at 8:00 am and will close at 8:45 am. 

The Precinct meetings will be followed by the Convention that will begin at 9:30 am.

Officers for the Wayne County GOP and At-large members will be elected; they will serve a 2-year term. Delegates will also be elected for the District 7 convention as well as delegates to the State NC GOP Convention.
The guest speaker is Dr. Glenn Pinkney author of "8 Reasons Why I Am No Longer A Democrat!"


All Republicans that were registered by 31 January 2017 are urged to attend. All elected Republicans have been invited to speak and meet with the delegates.

Wayne County Receives County Government Partnership Award

On August 22, 2015 Wayne County was named the Southeast District recipient of the 2015 NC Cooperative Extension County Government Partnership Award at the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners annual conference in Greenville, NC.

The purpose of the County Partnership Award is to recognize local governments for their outstanding partnership with the NC Cooperative Extension Service.  The award highlights best practices based on the following criteria:  (1) commitment of resources; (2) inclusiveness in county government and (3) advocacy and/or involvement in Extension programs.
